GORELJEK
Goreljek is a high elevation settlement on the Pokljuka plateau, on around 1350 meters, in the municipality of Bohinj in the upper Carniola region of Slovenia.
It has less than 10 residents, but there are numbers of holiday homes in the area.
PEAT BOGS TRAIL GORELJEK
An easy walk around Pokljukas peat bog, one of the southernmost Europe.

The Goreljek Trail is particularly interesting for learning about the special features and significance of peat bogs, which are among the most valueable nature areas in Europe.
Peat bogs are areas of permanently standing water with a layer of peat a few decimetres or metres thick, overgrown with peat mosses. The process of bog formation starter after the last glaciation. Peat mosses grow continuously at the top and turn charcoal at the bottom.
BIATHLON STADIUM POKLJUKA
Pokljuka is considered the best cross-country skiing terrain in Slovenia, offering over 30 kilometres of regulary maintained trails through pine tree woods and highland pastures. Also popular, as it hosts world famous biathlon competitions.
PLANINA ZAJAMNIKI
Through the forest of the Pokljuka plateau to the over 100-year-old Planina Zajamniki. A stunning wooden village located in the Triglav National Park.
